ATTENTION: 9 & 10 year olds
SUNDAY, MAY 20th
12:00n - "A" Field
Hit, Run, and Throw is a baseball skills competition modeled after MLB's Diamond Skills. The program, entering its seventh season, invites Little League/Youth Baseball players to participate for the chance to represent their league at the finals at New Britain Stadium and ultimately win the grand prize, a $1,000 donation to their league. The competition is for the 9 & 10 year olds.
HOW IT WORKS
Round 1(Qualifying) -Rock Cats staff members will visit your league's field to organize the competition. Players are tested in three areas - Hitting (for distance), Running (the bases for speed), and Throwing (for accuracy). All players will receive a free Rock Cats baseball just for participating. The participant with the highest score will be crowned League Champion and will advance to the 2nd Round.
Round 2 (Semis)- Winners from each league will be invited to compete in a trial round at New Britain Stadium before a Rock Cats home game. The top scorers from each semi-final round will advance to the finals. All League Champions will receive tickets for their family to watch them participate.
Finals - The finals will take place in August prior to a Rock Cats game at New Britain Stadium. The winner will be awarded a $1,000 donation to their league and be named 2010 Hit, Run, and Throw Champion in front of thousands of Rock Cats fans at New Britain Stadium.
